What would a wise man or woman do now?

What do you do? You check your watch and you’re late. You have a parking ticket! And you’re overdrawn. Do you weep? Do you swear? Or both? Do you kick yourself? Or the car? Are you calm and rational?

Our ten week introductory practical philosophy course looks at how we decide what we do and how we make sure our decisions are wise.

The course is designed to show how the words of great philosophers of East and West provide real answers for today’s challenges. The aim is to bring the subject of philosophy alive, gaining a sense of its richness and practical value in daily life and expanding our appreciation of ourselves and the world around us.

We hold these 10 week courses 3 times per year in 3 different locations. We have a course that starts in January, one in May and another at the end of September.

Week one has passed, but if you want to still attend pop along either Tuesday or Thursday.
