• Concepts considered include ideas from Socrates, Plato, Confucius, the Bible, the Upanishads, and Shantananda Saraswati, a modern exponent of the philosophy of unity or Advaita.

Workshops are open to all, they offer a broad spectrum of speakers aimed to expand your thinking, develop insights and knowledge about subjects. All the Workshops offered are held at Newland House, Edgbaston. The investment for the day is £30 including lunch.

The workshop will offer time for questions and cover:

1. Concept of Economic Rent, how it arises, and how it forms the natural source for public
revenue.
2. Practical example of how this shapes an economy i.e. Hong Kong
3. Introduction to Money – what is it where does it come form and how can it be put to use in an economy

Andrew Purves is a student in the School’s main London premises at 11 Mandeville Place, London and tutors the subject of Economics weekly.
